Managing Director, SNCF Group Foundation
Career path
With a degree from the Paris Institute for Political Studies (Sciences Po) and a postgraduate degree in regional planning and local development, Laetitia Gourbeille began her career working for the Franche-Comté Regional Council in media relations and as head of institutional communication for the President.
In 1996, she joined Secours Catholique to lead the non-profit’s work on housing issues and efforts to pass the Social Inclusion legislation, followed by the law’s deployment. She was subsequently promoted to deputy director of the organization’s Action France and International unit.
Laetitia was hired in 2000 by Réseau Ferré de France to lead the training department and then HR development before going on to create the “Human and managerial development” department. During those years, she not only laid the groundwork for the organizational, personnel and managerial changes brought about by French railway reform, she also developed policies for oversight of labour issues and for health and quality of life at work, while spearheading initiatives in those areas.

In 2013, Laetitia joined SNCF Group to lead management development programmes at SNCF University. In 2015 she was appointed head of the Management and Talent Development unit in the Managerial and Leadership Performance department.
As a member of the Social Engagement and the Ecological Transition department led by Mikaël Lemarchand, Laetitia was tasked with crafting a new project for the Foundation’s five-year plan (2021-25) that marries the needs of society with the social strategy at the heart of the Group’s “Tous SNCF” corporate strategy.
