Keolis runs on Oleo100 in Occitanie
Since 2020, Keolis Languedoc buses have been powered by vegetable oil produced from French rapeseed. The use of Oleo100, which is renewable and biodegradable, is in line with our subsidiary's approach to energy transition.
In the Languedoc region, Keolis once again commits to supporting the energy transition by using Oleo100 biofuel for its vehicles. This alternative to fossil fuels is 100% plant-based, produced from rapeseed grown in France, and offers a range comparable to that of diesel.
50% of vehicles powered by alternative energies
The adventure began in 2020 with the installation of the first Oleo100 tank for the subsidiary Keolis Méditerranée. Today, more than 130 vehicles (buses and coaches) in the sector run on alternative sources of energy to diesel such as BioGNV, electric, B100 biofuel and HVO, representing 33% of its total fleet.
Keolis' commitment in the Languedoc Grands Causses region is in line with the company's Keolis Way roadmap, which aims to have 50% of its vehicles running on alternative energies by 2025.
