Keolis keep developing in China

A tram launched in a UNESCO World Heritage Site

After two years spent building the network under the supervision of Shanghai Keolis, which was awarded the contract in 2022, the new tramway in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, has started running on May 15, 2024. It provides a convenient transport solution for the city's 700,000 inhabitants and for the millions of tourists visiting the famous tourist areas served by the tramway. The Dujiangyan ancient irrigation system, designed in the 3rd century B.C. and listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site, and the panoramic Qingcheng Mountains can now all be accessed via the 17.3 km Dujiangyan M-TR Project tourist network.

Operating Shanghai’s first automatic metro system

A world leader in automated subway systems, our company has also been operating and maintaining the automatic metro line at Shanghai Airport since it started running in 2018. The contract between Keolis and Shanghai Metro spans a total of 20 years. Every year, between 60 and 80 million passengers pass through Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The subway line connecting the four terminals operates 24/7 and carries 250,000 passengers each day.
