Keolis to help develop a high-speed rail line in Australia
Our company will lead a consortium comprising SNCF Voyageurs and CERTIFER, company specializing in rail safety, to contribute its expertise in the field of high-speed trains. Its goal is to launch a rail line between Newcastle and Sydney.
Connecting Newcastle and Sydney at high speed
The Australian Government’s High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) has appointed a Keolis-led partnership as its Business, Operations and Maintenance Adviser (BOMA) for the development phase of the Newcastle to Sydney high speed rail project.
The partnership, comprising Keolis, SNCF Voyageurs and CERTIFER, will help ensure operational, maintenance and customer requirements inform the project’s development phase from the outset.
International strategic alliances
s appointment further strengthens Keolis’s global strategic partnership with SNCF Group. In 2025, the Cadence consortium—of which Keolis and SNCF Voyageurs are members—was selected by the Canadian government to design, build, and operate the future Alto high-speed rail line connecting Quebec City and Toronto.

Keolis is proud to bring together global high speed rail expertise and local Australian capability to support this landmark project.
