A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques (IEP) in Aix-en-Provence (1998), Muriel Signouret holds a Master's degree in journalism from the University of London (2001) and graduated from ENA in 2012.

Her previous positions include Chief of Staff to SNCF Group Chairman and CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou, and Director Delegate for Territories and Institutional and International Relations.

Muriel Signouret joined SNCF Gares & Connexions in February 2023 as Director of the Paris-Lyon and Paris-Bercy Bourgogne Pays d'Auvergne train stations.

On May 2, 2024, she was appointed CSR Director and joined the Group's Executive Committee.
In May 2026, she was elected President of the SNCF Group Foundation as it launched its new five-year programme for 2026–2030, focused primarily on helping young people find jobs. The appointment is closely aligned with her responsibilities as the Group’s CSR Director.
