A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques (IEP) in Aix-en-Provence (1998), with a Master's degree in journalism from the University of London (2001), and an ENA graduate in 2012, Muriel Signouret's previous positions include Chief of Staff to Chairman and CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou and Director Delegate for Territories, Institutional Relations and International.

She joined SNCF Gares & Connexions in February 2023 as Director of Paris Lyon and Paris-Bercy Bourgogne Pays d'Auvergne train stations.

On May 2, 2024, she became CSR Director. In this capacity, she is appointed a member of the Group's Executive Committee.

In May 2026, she was elected president of the SNCF Group Foundation following the executive committee meeting that marked the start of the new five-year term (2026–2030), aimed at helping young people find jobs; an appointment that is fully in line with her role as the Group’s CSR Director.
