Alain Resplandy-Bernard

CEO of SNCF Gares & Connexions

Alain Resplandy-Bernard is a graduate of HEC, Sciences Po Paris, and a former student of ENA (Valmy class). He began his career as an auditor and then as a senior advisor at the Cour des Comptes until 2001, before joining the UN and UNICEF in New York as an auditor and deputy director of external audit.

In 2004, Alain Resplandy-Bernard was appointed advisor to Prime Ministers Jean-Pierre Raffarin and later Dominique de Villepin, in charge of sports, housing, tourism, and community life.

In 2006, he was appointed Secretary General of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

After serving as Vice President of Internal Audit, Finance, Compliance and Risk Assessment at Thales in 2010 and as Managing Director of the French Football Federation (FFF) in 2011, he returned to the Cour des Comptes as a senior advisor.

From 2015 to 2018, he was Deputy CEO and then Acting CEO of Paris Mutuel Urbain (PMU).

He then returned to the Cour des Comptes and was appointed in February 2020 to the State Property Administration Management and was named “Property Director of the Year 2025” by the Association of Property Directors (ADI).
