Raphaël Ménard is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (X94), a civil engineer from the Ponts et Chaussées and a DPLG architect. He began his career at RFR as an architect-engineer.

In 2003, he founded Elioth, a team of designers specialising in low-carbon innovation, an entity of the Egis group. He teaches at the Paris-Est School of Architecture, as part of the "Post-Carbon Architecture" postgraduate course.

At the end of 2018, he joined AREP and became Chairman of the Management Board.
