A graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration, Magali Patay began her career in 1998 in the Crédit Agricole Group in Lyon, serving local authorities and companies in the Rhône-Alpes region.

After several international positions starting in 2002, she decided to work for the French government and joined the French Treasury in 2012, in charge of climate and environmental issues.

In 2014, working for the BPCE group, she became responsible for relations with public sector companies, territories and the French State for Natixis.

In February 2023, she was appointed Chief of Staff to Jean-Pierre Farandou, CEO of SNCF, and in this capacity, she is responsible for external relations, European affairs and territorial strategy.
