We hopped on a train with some of the jury members of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, held from August 25 to 30 and took this opportunity to ask these directors, actors, and journalists questions such as: which film set in a train made the biggest impression on you? What’s your personal relationship with trains?

When trains inspire movies
“La Bête humaine”, “Snowpiercer”, “North by Northwest”, “Those who love me can take the train”: we asked the members of the FFA jury which films come to mind when they think of trains, and they didn't hold back. Watch our video interviews with these film buffs.

What is this Festival?
Created by Marie-France Brière and Dominique Besnehard, the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival has been celebrating French-language cinema since 2008. Each year, it features contemporary films presented in preview screenings to audiences in Angoulême, as well as classics. In 2025, the FFA honored Quebec cinema.
