SNCF’s Rail Apprentice Training Centre
To meet our hiring needs—and help young people find jobs—we have our own Rail Apprentice Training Centre, where we prepare work-study participants for professions in the railway sector.
An exam success rate of 99% in 2024
The Rail Apprentice Training Centre prepares work-study participants for vocational diplomas, ranging from France’s school-leaver vocational certificate (BAC pro) to higher education technical diplomas (BTS) and professional qualifications for specific railway professions. In 2024, 99%1 of our students successfully passed their exams.
New training courses
Four new training courses are available in the Paris region and the French provinces:
- National vocational qualification (TFP) in Catenary
- National vocational qualification (TFP) in Track
- National vocational qualification (TFP) in Electrification/Electrical Maintenance
- Higher education technical diploma (BTS) in Electrotechnology (in Strasbourg, eastern France and at Lycée Bergson-Jacquard, in Paris)
These courses are designed to meet SNCF’s hiring needs in fields where there is a shortage of skilled workers.
