The SNCF Athletes programme has been supporting elite athletes—both able-bodied and disabled—for nearly 40 years, allowing them to strike the right balance between their sports careers and work lives.
SNCF Athletes: balancing elite sport with a career at SNCF Group
Launched in 1982 in partnership with the French Ministry of Sports, our programme enables beneficiaries to hold jobs that match their skills in locations close to where they train. In 2023, 29 elite able-bodied and disabled athletes worked at SNCF.
Striking that crucial balance
We offer elite athletes bespoke support. They’re hired on permanent contracts with a full wage package as part of a professional integration agreement, while enjoying flexible working hours.
