About the SNCF Group Foundation

For 30 years, the SNCF Foundation has partnered with non-profits to help the vulnerable.

Our mission: helping young people enter the working world

Supporting young people as they shape their future

At the SNCF Group Foundation, our mission has evolved to address a major challenge for society and the French economy: youth employment. Our new direction aims to support the efforts of non-profits across France, helping young people aged 11 to 30 overcome barriers to guidance, training and access to employment.

Targeting projects that make an impact

We focus on providing multi-year financial support that enables our partner non-profits to strengthen and develop their programmes.

The Foundation also encourages collaboration amongst non-profits, philanthropic organizations and institutional partners committed to working on youth employment. Working together amplifies their impact and helps them develop more effective responses to the challenges young people face.

SNCF Group employees do their part through pro bono skills-sharing and volunteering.

And young people sit on our governance bodies, taking an active role in our project approval committees.

Working together for young people and local communities

The SNCF Group Foundation is a cornerstone of the Group’s commitment to helping young people – a commitment also reflected in its ambitious human resources policy and its many initiatives supporting social inclusion through employment.

Our innovative approach

Local ties

We’re committed to meeting real needs in real communities, so we count on a network of regional representatives who know the issues and the players on the ground. We rely on them to forge partnerships with non-profits and track our projects.

At community level, in every French region, we work with our non-profit partners to serve the public interest, offering advice, evaluating projects, identifying strong non-profit partners, and providing legal and tax support.

The Foundation around the world

Just as SNCF Group does business worldwide, the Foundation can fund and co-create projects that benefit young people and employment in communities around the world, working with local employees and the non-profit network.
