How do the Foundation’s projects impact society?
To assess the results of its five-year plan, the SNCF Foundation partnered with Koreis consultants to measure the societal impact of its initiatives. These focused on youth-oriented associations and their projects. What were the key findings, particularly regarding SNCF employee contributions over the past five years?
Impact assessment
How, precisely, did we contribute to the community projects we support, and to the young people who benefit from them? What can we learn from our employees' commitment to these efforts? And what overall impact has the Foundation had in the areas where it operates?
As the 2021-2025 plan nears its conclusion, the SNCF Foundation launched a comprehensive evaluation to answer these questions. The goal: collect tangible data to shape future action. To do this, we conducted a 6-month survey that involved our governance bodies, employees donating their time and skills, and the associations we support.
Key findings from the Foundation's impact assessment

Serving local communities
Over the past five years, the Foundation has concentrated on projects rooted in communities throughout France. We've partnered with national organizations active across the country and signed 150 long-term agreements to deepen local engagement.
These initiatives have strengthened ties with regional stakeholders—municipalities, non-profits, public institutions, and SNCF Group’s local teams.
Result: 74% of projects supported expanded their regional roots.
