Building a life
Our goal? Through this initiative, we want to help young people aged 11-25 who live in areas defined as “priority neighbourhoods” under urban policy, or in remote rural communities, or who face challenges due to social difficulties or disability.
We do this by supporting long-term projects implemented by national non-profits (i.e., with operations in at least 5 French regions) that help young people:
- develop their potential while in education
- find a profession and persevere in their chosen career path
- become good citizens, and develop a sense of initiative, community and solidarity, so we can all build a sustainable future together

Working for the environment
We’re committed to protecting the planet for future generations. Our partnerships with non-profits are designed to:
- Raise awareness of the need to protect the environment through workshops on conserving wildlife, consuming sustainably, fighting waste, and more.
- Promote the circular economy through initiatives that encourage repairing or reusing digital devices and other objects, bartering, composting, etc.
- Foster entrepreneurship and facilitate local eco-initiatives like bottle collections, clean-up and litter-picking campaigns, organic kitchen gardens, etc.

Our regional partners
Through its regional correpondents, SNCF Foundation maintains strong ties with all 12 French regions. Our regional correspondents forge ties with local non-profits and support their initiatives, both one-off and long-term. Like all our initiatives, these local ones aim to help young people find their place in society and protect the environment.
