Grégory Alldritt, patron of the SNCF Athletes Programme
Number 8 on the French national rugby team and patron of our SNCF Athletes Programme for elite sportsmen and women, Grégory shares his experience and insights with the people we sponsor.
An outstanding patron for SNCF Athletes
Grégory Aldritt helped the French national rugby team win the Six Nations Tournament in 2025 and 2022 and led his home club Stade Rochelais to two European Cup victories. But he’s also is putting his experience and insights into the challenges facing elite sportsmen and women to work for members of our SNCF Athletes Programme. Members connect with jobs that let them train and compete, while learning a profession for life after their athletic careers.

I am delighted and honoured to sponsor SNCF’s athletes. I want to contribute what I can and support these champions, who thrill and inspire us with their performance!

Supporting athletes for over 40 years
Founded in 1982, the SNCF Athletes Programme now counts nearly 30 participants. Open to competitors who practice an Olympic discipline and are listed as elite athletes by the French Ministry for Sport, the programme helps participants balance their dedication to sport with the world of work. At SNCF, they find jobs that let them train and compete while learning a profession and laying the groundwork for life after their athletic careers.

A balanced, successful programme
The SNCF Athletes Programme helps participants make their dreams come true. They have permanent positions with us on terms that let them train, compete in the Olympic or Paralympic Games, and win medals, all while they prepare to transition to the world of work after their athletic careers.
How it works:
- hours are adjusted to balance participants’ work lives with the demands of their sport. Each athlete must work at least 50 days a year (except in Olympic years), leaving room for training, competition, time on the French national team and more
- athletes learn a profession, with opportunities for career training and development
- athletes can continue to work at SNCF Group after they retire from competition
