A new workwear-recycling business
Working with select partners, we’ve created an all-new industrial-scale business, operating nationwide, for recycling and reusing workwear. It operates through the recently opened Nouvelles Fibres Textiles mill, which embodies our commitment to the circular economy.
SNCF employee uniforms
The uniforms worn by our employees—train managers, station staff and ticketing agents—serve as a form of livery. They convey professionalism and make our 24,000+ employees easy to spot. But what happens to uniforms when they wear out? To ensure an eco-friendly end-of-life solution, we led an effort to create a nationwide business for recycling and reusing workwear. And with the opening of the Nouvelles Fibres Textiles mill, that project is now up and running.
