Delivering ski lifts to Uzbekistan
GEODIS is working with MND—a French company specializing in cable transport and snowmaking systems—to deliver equipment for the Central Asian ski resort of Chimgan by land and by sea.

Gondolas by land, gondolas by sea
Chairlifts, gondolas, alpine coasters and even ziplines—GEODIS is transporting a full range of resort equipment to Chimgan, Uzbekistan. An SNCF subsidiary and a global player in logistics, GEODIS is assisting French mountain-resort equipment specialist MND with a tailored multimodal solution that combines road and maritime routes.
The delivery will help transform the ski resort in the heart of the Chatkal Range, northwest of the Uzbek capital Tashkent, into a year-round destination. The project aims to position Chimgan as a premier mountain resort and one of Central Asia’s top tourist sites.

Optimizing a reliable logistic solution
GEODIS and MND continue to collaborate and will launch a new phase of equipment deliveries to Chimgan in March 2026. Building on proven logistics expertise, our teams have designed the most efficient combination of road and maritime routes using semi-trailers, with no cargo transshipment between origin and destination.
Equipment is collected from several European sites, transits through the ports of Sète (France) and Trieste (Italy), is shipped by sea to Turkey, and then transported across the Caspian Sea to Uzbekistan. The average trip takes 30 to 45 days.

Our role is to secure flows, control lead times, and provide long-term support to our industrial clients on such strategic international projects.
