GEODIS finalizes acquisition of Transports Malherbe
French regulators have approved our acquisition of this leading road freight transport specialist. The move strengthens GEODIS’s nationwide network and enhances its ability to serve clients across France.
Top 3 in the market for less-than-truckload (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) transport
GEODIS aims to continue expanding in the French road freight market for full and partial truckloads, while strengthening its presence in the agri-food and mass retail sectors. This is the rationale behind its acquisition of the Malherbe group, a road transport specialist since 1956.
With this move, GEODIS takes a further step in its growth strategy. The acquisition will consolidate its position among the top three players in the French market for full and less-than full-truckloads, with combined revenue of nearly €2 billion.

Decarbonizing transport
Since 2024, Malherbe has implemented a comprehensive program designed to diversify its energy sources, gradually electrify its fleet, and install charging infrastructure at several of its sites. This initiative aligns perfectly with GEODIS's ambition to reduce the carbon footprint of its activities and promote more sustainable transport solutions.
