Keolis wins contract to operate bikes in Nantes
Nantes Métropole has chosen Cykleo, a subsidiary of the Keolis Group, for the operation of its bike rental and parking services under the Naolib Vélo brand. We aim to simplify the cycling experience and sustainably transform the mobility habits of Nantes residents.
Improving bike rental services
The contract awarded Cykleo and starting in January 2027 notably introduces short-term bike hire allowing users to test the expanded rental fleet, which includes:
- longtail bikes for families
- adaptive bikes for people with reduced mobility and senior citizens
- shorty and XL cargo bikes
- tandem bikes
Concessionary pricing, which is already applied to individual bike rentals, will be extended to subscriptions and secure bicycle parks ensuring access for all residents.

Offering user support
Keolis and Cykleo are committed to promoting active mobility by guiding residents towards self-sufficiency and the purchase of their own equipment once their rental contract ends.
A"Mobile Cycle Hub" will thus tour the 24 municipalities and workshops will be organized in close collaboration with local community groups to provide advice on the spot.
