The first public transport operator in Europe to attain B Corp status certification, Keolis joins the ranks of companies recognized for their commitment to a more inclusive, fair and regenerative economy. The global B Corp label means that Keolis Rennes meets the highest standards in terms of social and environmental impact, that it has made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance and demonstrates accountability and transparency by publicly disclosing its non-financial impact.
The B Corp label is not merely an assessment of current impact but involves a commitment to continuous improvement.
The key actions of Keolis Rennes
- Providing accessible public transport solutions while reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable mobility. The company’s climate policy, certified in January 2024 by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), aligns with the Paris Agreement.
- Promoting local engagement by favouring local purchase (64% of turnover comes from local supplies), by signing Rennes Métropole’s circular economy charter and partnering with local organizations involved in culture, health, and environment.
- Committing to passengers by promoting social and environmental causes and disclosing annually greenhouse gas emissions for our transport services
- Working for our employees by reducing workplace risks, supporting recruitment of young people (block release training, internships and permanent contracts), facilitating part-time work for senior employees, and promoting inclusion.
