Keolis strengthens its foothold in Paris and the inner suburbs
Keolis has been chosen by Île-de-France Mobilités, the Paris Region transport authority, to continue operating tram line T9 and manage an additional 28 bus lines, starting 1 August 2026. This new 7-year contract has an optional 2-year extension.
A core multimodal network for Paris and its inner suburbs
Keolis is consolidating its presence across all modes of transport in Paris and the city’s inner suburbs. Île-de-France Mobilités, the Paris Region transport authority, has awarded Keolis the contract to operate 28 bus routes in the Seine-Orly area, beginning 1 August 2026. This is part of concession contract no.47 (DSP 47 in French).
The contract spans 34 municipalities in the Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre administrative authority, which includes Ivry-sur-Seine, Vitry-sur-Seine, Orly and key districts of Paris (notably the 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th arrondissements). Home to some 2.7 million residents, this densely populated and strategically important corridor plays a key role in regional mobility.

Increasing regional public transport services
Keolis will soon begin operating the following 28 bus lines:
- 16 daytime bus lines currently managed by RATP, including 6 in Paris proper (lines 27, 47, 62, 83, 89 and 91)
- 5 routes previously included in DSP 22 Bords de Marne, currently operated by Keolis
- 7 “Noctilien” night bus lines departing from Paris, along with management of the Châtelet-Les Halles night bus station – the central hub of the Paris Region’s night-time network.
- Option: under the contract, operation of the TZen 5 bus rapid transit (BRT) line – running primarily in a dedicated bus lane between Paris’ 13th arrondissement and Choisy-le-Roi, southeast of the capital – may be assigned to Keolis at a later date.

Tram T9 contract renewed
Keolis has operated tram line T9 since its launch in 2021, and will continue to manage services connecting Paris and Orly. Today, this line carries 100,000 passengers daily. The renewed contract also includes the launch of orbital bus line 386, linking the inner suburbs Bagneux and Vitry-sur-Seine, along with broader service improvements to meet evolving regional mobility needs.
After having been awarded the operation of three Grand Paris Express metro lines, the Saint-Denis Pleyel station and 42 bus routes in the Marne and Brie area, we are proud to continue operating tram T9 and to extend our remit to include nearly 30 iconic bus routes.
