SNCF Voyageurs wins contract to run “Paris lines” linking Hauts-de-France with the French capital

Regional authorities selected SNCF Voyageurs to operate the services for a nine-year period starting in December 2027. A dedicated subsidiary with 1,200 employees will manage the €3 billion-plus agreement.

A major win

This success reflects the quality and relevance of the services offered by SNCF Voyageurs. On 28 May 2026, the Hauts-de-France regional authorities, acting as the mobility authority for regional trains, selected our company to operate services between northern France and Paris.
The concession covers lines linking the French capital with Picardy, Avesnois and the Opal Coast in Hauts-de-France. It will run for nine years from December 2027 as regional rail services continue to open up to competition across France.

A dedicated company with local roots

A new company with 1,200 employees will manage the contract. With a strong local presence and a clear focus on passenger satisfaction, it will pursue ambitious performance and ESG targets: 98.5% on-time arrivals, a 15% reduction in energy consumption, and a 14% increase in ridership by 2037.

Second contract win in Hauts-de-France

This new concession for services between the Hauts-de-France and Paris is the second awarded to SNCF Voyageurs in the region. Since December 2024, the 490 staff of our dedicated subsidiary SNCF Voyageurs Étoile d’Amiens have operated 200 trains a day on 10 lines.
