“My films will always feature trains”
In her latest film, loosely based on Constance Debré’s novel, Anna Cazenave Cambet came up with scenes set in railway settings that not only give rhythm to the story but also allow the characters to escape their lives. She tells us how the filming went at Gare de l’Est station and aboard a TER Grand Est train.

"Adrenaline rush and deep focus"
In “Love Me Tender”, the story of Clémence, played by Vicky Krieps, and her son, is interspersed with scenes aboard a TER regional express train and at the Gare de l'Est station in Paris. Leaving room for introspection and conjuring the sense of freedom one feels when escaping town, these sequences are moments of respite in this powerful and moving film. But filming on a moving train or in a station surrounded by hundreds of passengers requires a lot of energy and preparation.
Anna Cazenave Cambet, the director, talks about the filming, which was made possible thanks to our teams working for the Cinéma & Tournages unit.
