ACTIMOB, camion itinérant

ACTIMOB: our new truck for rural areas

Our mobile multi-service truck, which is being tried out until the end of summer 2025 in Finistère, aims to improve access to public services and local shops for residents of rural towns, while fostering a sense of community.

ACTIMOB, camion itinérant

One truck, many services

How about a truck that simultaneously takes several local shops and public services on a tour through different towns and villages? Called ‘ACTIMOB’ for ‘mobile activities’, our mobile multi-service truck is shared by various public players, associations and shopkeepers. It is being tested until the end of summer 2025, as part of our Tech4Mobility1 innovation accelerator, within the federation of municipalities of Pays de Landivisiau, in Finistère.

ACTIMOB camion services

Developing travelling services

A baker's van, a food truck, a mobile tax office, an optician on wheels, moving libraries or even cinemas... You could argue that mobile activities have been developing for a while. But what’s groundbreaking about ACTIMOB is that it’s the same truck pooling all these activities and making them accessible to persons with reduced mobility. This project is a winner of the TENMOD programme— for ‘Territoire de Nouvelles Mobilités Durables’, supported by ADEME and France Mobilités.

The ACTIMOB experiment is designed to revitalise our countryside by offering a new type of mobile services and shops.

Deux espaces distincts et une plateforme digitale

The truck has been designed so as to offer modular layouts and two distinct areas on board:

  • a counter area
  • an office area

This turnkey service for professionals comes with a digital platform you can access on your smartphone or computer. Thus retailers may book a space in the truck for half a day (it costs 20 euros for commercial services and it’s free for public services and associations), while residents may check online the planning for the ACTIMOB tours in each municipality.
