Exposition SNCF Réseau sur l'accessibilité en mouvement

“It’s not an exhibition—it’s accessibility in action”

This approach has greeted over 10,000 visitors to the accessibility exhibition installed by SNCF Réseau, the Accessibility Division, and their partners1 in 2022. We look back at an exhibition that reflects our corporate purpose of “working towards a dynamic, caring, sustainable society”.

A 3-step transformative experience...

The exhibition starts in a sas with stories from passengers with disabilities. A “sound shower” then simulates the experience of a visually impaired person. Finally, a “rapid ager” helps visitors understand the challenges faced by the elderly or those with reduced mobility.

... plus explanations

Throughout the exhibition, signs provide detailed explanations of our efforts to improve the experience of passengers with disabilities since 2021.

A travelling exhibition on accessibility

The exhibition has also taken on a life of its own: Versions of it have been shown at other SNCF facilities to raise awareness and inform visitors; new content has been added to the explanations provided for customers, and it has also been enriched through new partnerships with innovators, nonprofits, and even wheelchair rugby, which SNCF Réseau sponsors.

With events like the Rugby World Cup France 2023 and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games going on, we want to raise awareness of the challenges of accessibility and highlight both what we’ve done and what we still need to accomplish.
