Gare de St-Denis

Making our stations more accessible in the Paris region

We’ve launched a massive works programme to make stations in the Paris region easier to navigate for people with limited mobility, for pregnant women, and anyone with a pushchair or bulky luggage.

Accessibility difficulties

Every day, one person in ten runs into an accessibility problem in a railway station in the Paris Region. The sources of these challenges can be permanent—such as physical and cognitive disabilities—or temporary—such as pushchairs or bulky luggage.

Ascenseur en gare

A special accessibility programme for the Paris region

To make everyday life easier for our passengers, we’ve launched an improvements programme. When we began, only 54 stations were up to standard, but by 2025 over 200 will be accessible. When works are complete, 90% of our passengers will be able to move through these stations more easily.
