How we’re fighting discrimination

Eliminating discrimination in recruitment
HR staff and managers attend regular training and awareness-raising sessions designed to eliminate any form of discrimination from the recruitment process.

Highlighting discrimination risks
At SNCF, equality, secularism, and mutual respect are the cornerstones of our HR policies. To ensure these principles are put into practice, we provide HR recruiters and managers with a range of easily accessible resources:
- Handbooks that outline the legal framework and provide examples of situations requiring robust conversations or even disciplinary action
- Regular in-person anti-discrimination training sessions
- Videos, posters, and online training courses.

Whistleblowing
In 2012, we expanded our whistleblowing system to allow reporting of discriminatory behaviour. Any employee who believes they are a victim of discrimination or have witnessed discrimination may report it to the Group’s Ethics Division.
A range of educational tools
- Our diversity toolkit comprises handbooks, videos, posters and other training tools.
- The ProDiversité serious game: integrated into training cycles, this serious game teaches employees how to challenge stereotypes and raises their awareness of non-discrimination.
- Debates to encourage discussion among employees: organised on a regular basis, the Inclusion & Diversity Meetings are conferences open to all employees. Their purpose is to encourage dialogue on living and working well together.
