Our employees are our Group’s outreach ambassadors
Our employees are, first and foremost, citizens and members of the wider community. Because we believe that work and community values can go hand in hand, SNCF Group enables employees to offer pro bono services to partner non-profits.
Our aims
Creating, renewing and maintaining relationships is more essential than ever. By encouraging our “citizen-employees” to engage in the community, we aim to help them forge interpersonal, intergenerational, and intercommunity bonds—and ultimately contribute to a more caring world.
Everyone can help in their own way
Because people contribute to the greater good in different ways, SNCF Group offers two employer-supported pro bono programmes, so employees can get involved at a pace and in a way that feels right for them.
Occasional pro bono activities
Through our short-term skills-sharing programme, employees can lend their expertise through mentoring, Outreach Days, team pro bono activities, and more.
Full-time pro bono services
Our long-term skills-sharing programme gives employees the opportunity to support a partner non-profit over an extended period.
Our pro bono options allow employees to tailor their involvement to their interests, availability and skills.
In April 2025

In October 2025

Encouraging volunteering—another way of supporting a good cause
Many SNCF Group employees also volunteer with a variety of non-profits in their free time.
The SNCF Group Foundation’s Coups de Cœur Citoyens (Caring Hearts) programme encourages these efforts by allocating funds to non-profit projects championed by our employees across France.
Every year, in every region of France, we organize Cérémonies de l’Engagement (Employee Giving Awards) to honour:
- Our partner non-profits
- Employee outreach initiatives
- The winners of the Coups de Cœur Citoyens (Caring Hearts) funding awards
