GEODIS launches freight line between Poland and Spain
This new line enables a secure flow of goods and greater flexibility in managing customer activity peaks, while reducing CO2e emissions by up to 79%.
GEODIS expands its rail freight offering
The first direct line between Poland and Spain, this link can transport up to 44 mobile boxes and/or containers from Łódź to Barcelona in just three days. Once they have been loaded in Spain, the goods leave the same day for distribution in Poland.
Each container can carry a load of up to 26 tonnes.
This new line, which combines road and rail transport, provides a secure flow of goods and greater flexibility in managing customer activity peaks.

The launch of the new Łódź-Barcelona railway offers our customers many advantages, with regular flows and a limited environmental impact.
A growing transport offering
One train per week runs between the two cities, but the frequency is soon to be increased to two trains per week. This new multimodal link complements GEODIS’ existing rail network, which enables nearly 120 trains to run throughout Europe every week.
