GEODIS honored for its commitment for gender equality
GEODIS Women’s Network’s project aimed at strengthening women's financial skills was awarded the GEEIS-SDG Trophy. This recognition stresses our lasting commitment to inclusion and equality through our international network.
GEODIS and its network, GEODIS Women's Network, were awarded the GEEIS-SDG Trophy for a financial education training project designed for women.
The award was presented during the 30th anniversary of European association Arborus, which was created in 1995 to promote gender equality. It honors companies committed to gender equality and diversity.

Promoting women’s development
The award-winning initiative was launched by Australian-based GEODIS Women’s Network’s member Melanie Fantin, following an internal competition. This project gave rise to an international financial awareness program specifically designed for women and funded by the network.
In practice, this program consists in fun and interactive two-hour workshops, hosted online or on site by collaborators trained in financial matters. The first session focused on salary negotiations as collaborators learned how to shield themselves against biases and build their arguments.
What is the GEEIS Label?
Called GEEIS for Gender Equality European & International Standard, this label was launched in 2010 by the Arborus endowment fund and a number of European groups in order to promote companies having a proactive approach to gender equality. Its aim is to create a common international standard for assessing progress in gender equality and diversity.
