GEODIS partners with Pickme to deliver to private customers
Our company will take advantage of Pickme’s collaborative network of neighbour-relays to deliver goods to our private customers in France, thereby reducing unnecessary CO2 emissions generated by unsuccessful journeys.
A network of 15,500 neighbour-relays
As of 5 December, 2024, customers of the GEODIS ‘On Demand’ service may choose to have their parcel delivered to one of the 15,500 collection points on the Pickme collaborative platform. This solution is an added alternative to the options available for recipients who are away from home at the time of the planned delivery.
Through this partnership with Pickme, GEODIS is extending its network all over France and aims to reduce unsuccessful deliveries to absent recipients, which result in unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions.
This new delivery option offers a simple, flexible solution: when the delivery date for their parcel is disclosed, the recipients may choose on an interactive map the next-door neighbour that suits them best in their vicinity, and arrange with them to collect their delivery within 14 days.
A product delivered successfully on the first attempt saves time for our delivery drivers, reduces CO₂ emissions and enhances the customer experience.
