Improving gender balance at GEODIS
This SNCF subsidiary is working to improve gender equality, using an in-house women’s network to change the logistics industry’s traditionally masculine image.
Continuing effort
With women in 24% of managerial positions, GEODIS is nearing its short-term target. “We want to continue the effort we’ve begun and give women a path to key jobs. Our aim is to increase the number of women in management,” said Mario Ceccon, head of human resources at GEODIS, in late 2021.

Meeting 2 challenges
We view GEODIS Women Network (GWN), an in-house resource, as an effective way to promote gender equality and offer more responsibility to women. GWN also plans to change the image of the logistics and transport industry to attract more women employees.
About GEODIS Women Network
GWN is open to all employees. Backed by senior management, it is led by a committee of women and men in a range of countries where we do business, including France, Denmark, Germany, Singapore and the US. Network members also represent diverse positions within the company, including human resources, operations and the executive committee.
GWN focuses on:
- promoting inclusion
- reducing workplace disparities between men and women
- improving work/life balance
- fostering equal career opportunities
