Christophe Fanichet holds degrees from the École Supérieure d’Informatique, Électronique, Automatique engineering school in Paris and from the London Business School. Before he joined SNCF in 2008, he held positions at the French Ministries of Defence and Finance and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Once at SNCF, he served successively as head of strategy, head of Intercités trains, chief of staff to SNCF’s Chairman, chief communications officer for SNCF Group, and CEO of its subsidiary 574 Invest, which handles investments in mobility start-ups. He is appointed Deputy Chief Digital Officer of SNCF Group and CEO of SNCF Voyageurs in 2019. 

In May 2024, he is renewed as CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.
