Alain Krakovitch

A graduate of École Centrale de Lyon, Alain Krakovitch also holds a master’s degree in management and logistics from École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales. From 2002 to 2004, he coordinated the reorganization plan for SNCF’s Fret subsidiary, and from 2005 to 2007 he served as station master at Paris-Nord station. In 2007, he became chief of staff to SNCF’s Chairman, working with Anne Marie Idrac and later with Guillaume Pepy. From 2008 to 2012, he headed RER lines D and R and served as Regional Director for south-eastern Paris. In 2012, he served as head of Railway Service Safety and Quality, and in 2014 he became Managing Director of Transilien.

Appointed Managing director of TGV-Intercités in 2020, Alain Krakovitch has been instrumental in helping the division meet rapidly growing demand through industrial performance and operational excellence, the creation of new commercial offerings, and the successful expansion into European markets.

On May 18, 2026, he was appointed Director of Rolling Stock and a member of the Executive Committee of SNCF Voyageurs.
