Alain Ribat
Managing Director Transilien, SNCF Voyageurs

Born on 2 December 1964 and a graduate of ESSEC Business school, Alain Ribat began his career by fulfilling a number of management, finance and performance development positions in major French companies: from 1991 to 1998 at Valeo, then with the Carrefour group from 1998 to 2005.
He started working for the transportation sector and the SNCF Group in 2005, where he was in charge of finance for the international operations of GEODIS and then later for the courier division.
From 2009 to 2014, he was Finance and Legal Director of the SNCF Group's rail and multimodal freight transport division, now known as Rail Logistics Europe. A member of the Fret SNCF comex, he was also director of several subsidiaries in this business in France and Europe. In 2014, he became Chairman and CEO of Captrain France, France's 3rd largest rail freight operator, with 1,000 employees.
He joined SNCF Voyageurs in 2020 as deputy director of the Transilien activity, alongside Sylvie Charles. He has already managed major projects, finance and contractual relations with Île-de-France Mobilités, the opening up to competition and the preparation of responses to calls for tender, and has also led the transformation of Transilien.
