Isabelle Sanson
Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO, SNCF Voyageurs

Born in 1985, Isabelle Sanson is a graduate of France’s École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy and Columbia University in New York. She began her career in consulting, working in the nuclear and pharmaceutical sectors in the UK and France.
In 2014, she joined SNCF Group, starting at SNCF Réseau before transitioning to SNCF Voyageurs in 2020. Over the years, her career has blended hands-on operational roles with strategic leadership. She began with positions as a traffic agent and in operational management at Établissement Infrastructure Circulation and later contributed to key projects including a Group-wide initiative to ensure on-time train departures (H00). She also led industrial optimization efforts for Transilien as rail markets opened up to competition.
In June 2022, Isabelle was named Traction Production Site Manager for RER Line C in the Paris Region. Under her leadership, her team achieved notable improvements in employee engagement and safety, while successfully implementing transformation projects in collaboration with SNCF’s social partners.
In January 2025, Isabelle was appointed Head of Staff to Christophe Fanichet, Chairman and CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.
